Discover the Secrets to Spectacular Pensacola Florida Beach Weddings
There are a few things you'll need to consider when planning Pensacola Florida beach weddings.

  • First, you’ll want to check with the parks and recreation department to see if you’ll need a permit.

  • One suggestion would be to have your beach wedding in a state of county park that overlooks the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Many of them have beautiful pavilions that will work well for your reception.

  • There are quite a few places on the beach to rent that are wedding friendly. You can rent a nice beach house for the reception that’s relatively inexpensive, plus you'll be able to spend your wedding night there.

  • Rent some chairs and set up an arbor. You can have the guys set up the chairs. Purchase some tulle and weave that to the arbor. Now you have a beautiful focal point for the ceremony.

  • Make sure you get you license in the state you are getting married in, not the state you live in.

  • Have the men where khakis and a white shirt – you don’t want to be too formal on a beach and it is less expensive than renting a tux.

  • A really inexpensive centerpiece idea is to get some glass containers and fill them with sand. Put three tea lights in the center and spread seashells on top of the sand. Will only cost a few dollars per centerpiece.

  • Keep your decorations simple. Instead of flowers strung along the chairs (which may wilt on a sunny, sandy beach) you can drill a hole in a large seashell and string them with ribbon along the chairs. Also use leis instead of flower bouquets.

  • If you have a sunset ceremony (how romantic!) purchase hurricane candle holders and stabilize them by pushing them into the sand to line the walkway.
